Yaesu FT-710 Hardware Fan

My 710 fan comes on about 15 minutes in no matter what then shuts off about 45 minutes in of only RX, then comes back on blah blah, and randomly shuts off again later. There is no rhyme or reason to it. No transmit whatever ever. Just on receive


Well, to all you experts and thermal engineers:  The rig was returned from Yaesu and the problem was solved.  Zero fan noise now.  Radio has been on for over an hour on RX and silent as a church mouse.

If your 710 fan starts up and makes an annoying tone on receive, send it back. It is fixable.
